1st LTTA of M@THGAN project
The 1st LTTA of M@THGAN project was held in Athens, Greece between 2 to 5 of August, 2022.
During this 4-day activity the participants were trained and given the skills and competencies needed to train school teachers on the topic of "Boosting students’ computational Thinking / Using Coding".
This 24-month project, started on February 1st 2022 and it’s funded under the Erasmus + program "Cooperation partnerships in school education” of the European Commission, by the Romanian NA with the contract number 2021-1-RO01-KA220-SCH-000032641.
The main aims of the M@THGAN project are :
-to gain a positive attitude towards mathematics and to change the teaching way of Mathematics.
-to show the students that Math is everywhere in our surroundings and if we want to understand Mathematics, we can find it in our daily lives.
Computational thinking is a concept that involves formulating and solving problems as a computer would, but not necessarily with the help of a computer. It is considered a necessary skill to function successfully in a technology-based society of the 21st century, therefore it is important to integrate it into the education system.
The aim of this LTTA was to equip the participants with skills and knowledge so that they may support their learners in developing student 21st century skills, while using their creativity and knowledge of computational thinking to influence their future prospects in the society.
Computational Thinking aspects can be taught in a series of school subjects, not solely related to math, ICT or natural science subjects. That is why Innovation Frontiers has conducted this workshop based on the research about Computational Thinking understanding of future teachers.
The agenda of our training included presentations on how to engage students with a range of ideas of Computational Thinking, practical examples as well as the possibility of working in small groups in order to produce new teaching materials.
On the last day of this training meeting, an assessment was made on the progress of the project so far, while specific goals and milestones were set for the next months. The appointment for an online meeting was set in September, as to discuss the development of project results.
Our next LTTA activity is planned in Naples, Italy in October.
Primul LTTA al proiectului M@THGAN a avut loc la Atena, Grecia, între 2 și 5 august 2022.
Pe parcursul acestei activități de formare de 4 zile, participanții au fost instruiți și li s-au oferit abilitățile și competențele necesare pentru a instrui profesorii din școală pe tema „Îmbunătățirea gândirii computaționale a elevilor / Utilizarea codării”.
Acest proiect de 24 de luni, a început la 1 februarie 2022 și este finanțat în cadrul programului Erasmus + „Parteneriate de cooperare în educația școlară” al Comisiei Europene, de către AN Română cu numărul de referinta 2021-1-RO01-KA220-SCH-000032641 .
Obiectivele principale ale proiectului M@THGAN sunt:
-să dobândească o atitudine pozitivă față de matematică și să schimbe modul de predare a matematicii.
-să le arătăm elevilor că Matematica este peste tot în împrejurimile noastre și dacă vrem să înțelegem Matematica, o putem găsi în viața noastră de zi cu zi.
Gândirea computațională este un concept care implică formularea și rezolvarea problemelor așa cum ar face un computer, dar nu neapărat cu ajutorul unui computer. Este considerată o abilitate necesară pentru a funcționa cu succes într-o societate bazată pe tehnologie a secolului 21, de aceea este importantă integrarea acesteia în sistemul de învățământ.
Scopul acestui LTTA a fost de a dota participanții cu abilități și cunoștințe, astfel încât să își poată sprijini cursanții în dezvoltarea abilităților elevilor din secolul 21, folosindu-și creativitatea și cunoștințele de gândire computațională pentru a influența perspectivele lor viitoare în societate.
Aspectele gândirii computaționale pot fi predate într-o serie de discipline școlare, nu numai legate de disciplinele de matematică, TIC sau științe naturale. De aceea, Innovation Frontiers a desfășurat acest atelier bazat pe cercetările despre înțelegerea gândirii computaționale a viitorilor profesori.
Agenda cursului nostru a inclus prezentări despre cum să implicăm studenții cu o serie de idei de gândire computațională, exemple practice, precum și posibilitatea de a lucra în grupuri mici pentru a produce noi materiale didactice.
În ultima zi a acestei întâlniri de formare s-a făcut o evaluare a progresului proiectului până în prezent, în timp ce obiectivele și etapele specifice au fost stabilite pentru următoarele luni. Programarea pentru o întâlnire online a fost stabilită în septembrie, pentru a discuta despre dezvoltarea rezultatelor proiectului.
Următoarea noastră activitate LTTA este planificată în Napoli, Italia, în octombrie.
